An extraordinary book - with the most surprising ending (could never have guessed), imagine one of the central, essentially good, police characters being a 'baddie'. 3 and a halfIt was odd not having it set anywhere in particular and I felt it lost something as a result. I never realised how much setting a book in a particular place helps with one's reading. I did really enjoy this although it was spoilt for me by the use of the medium nun. but the writing was great and the plot very inventive.
